Task 1: Downtown Wayfinding Signage • Install an estimated twenty-five (25) wayfinding signs in areas including Main, Lisbon, Canal, Cedar, Pleasant, and Lincoln Streets The City of Lewiston has provided Exhibit A with these bid specifications for the identification of proposed sign locations for the wayfinding sign project. • Signs must support: o Pedestrian, cyclist, and vehicular navigation o Downtown branding o Visual clarity and sidewalk space efficiency • Site conditions analysis o Conduct a comprehensive field survey of proposed signage locations o Analyze existing signage for visibility, redundancy, and effectiveness o Recommend signage consolidation or removal where applicable • Conceptual design development o Develop at least three (3) conceptual signage system designs o Establish a consistent design standard including dimensions, materials, typography, colors, and mounting options o Incorporate federal and state standards (MUTCD) where required • Fabrication and Installation o Create detailed fabrication-ready “as-built” specifications and plans o Coordinate timelines for production and field installation o Approve final cut sheets and installation maps for city review o Include installation and old-sign removal timeline and costs • Pricing should include all design, fabrication, removal and replacement, installation, and reimbursable costs, as well as per-unit pricing for the Downtown Wayfinding Signage Task. Task 2: Gateway Signage • Install two (2) major entry gateway signs: o One at Exit 80 via Lisbon Street. o One at Longley Bridge. • Designs should integrate artistic, pedestrian, and vehicular elements to establish a visual identity, as well as all relevant branding and conceptual design elements in task 1 • Fabrication and Installation o Create detailed fabrication-ready “as-built” specifications and plans o Coordinate timelines for production and field installation o Approve final cut sheets and installation maps for city review o Include installation and old-sign removal timeline and costs • Pricing should include all design, fabrication, removal, installation, and reimbursable costs, as well as per-unit pricing for the Gateway Signage Task. Task 3: Parking Garage Signage Message Boards • Installation of five (5) illuminated message boards at each city parking garage primary entrance (see Attachment B, for parking garage map locations) • Signs must be able to display rates, restrictions, time-limits, availability details, as well as special events or other marketing information • Message boards must have off-site programming capability in accordance with our IT network • Pricing should include all per-unit installation costs, including network connectivity, Lewiston’s required $50/site electrical permit fee, as well as any future year maintenance or subscription costs for the Parking Garage Signage Message Boards Task.
