A. General: The firm shall provide all plant, labor, materials, equipment, tools, and services necessary to provide the field services and laboratory work, as specified herein. All field services work shall be performed using Level “D” Personal Protective Equipment, as a minimum. B. Field Services: The firm shall coordinate its personnel such that all sampling and analyses are completed to satisfy the individual Permit requirements, limitations, and conditions. The field services personnel shall have a minimum three years’ experience taking samples, in accordance with the NJDEP Field Sampling Procedures Manual, latest Edition. C. The firm personnel shall purge the groundwater wells, then sample the wells with dedicated bailers, in accordance with the NJDEP Field Sampling Procedures Manual, latest Edition. The Erie Landfill wells are about 28 feet deep, and purging each well takes approximately one-half hour. The firm personnel shall also measure the depth of the water in each well from the top of its inner casing, and report these values with its groundwater report for the site wells. D. The firm shall provide all sample collection equipment and containers for collection of the specified samples, and maintain the samples within the required temperature ranges, during transport. All such containers shall be properly labeled and contain the necessary preservatives. Chain-of-Custody Forms shall be used to track all sampling events. The firm shall coordinate the above activities so that the sample holding times and temperatures are not exceeded. E. Analytical Services: All analytical work shall be performed in an NJDEP certified laboratory with at least five years’ experience. All sampling and analyses shall be performed in a timely manner, to insure adequate time for additional sampling and analyses should a parameter exceed its limit. The analytical results of the sampling events shall be transmitted to the NJSEA via email, and on paper (Report) within the respective specified time frames. All analytical results are the property of the NJSEA, and the firm shall not disclose any analytical results to anyone else without the expressed written consent of the NJSEA. The NJSEA will report all the analytical data to the required regulatory agencies.
