This project includes the completion of a new comprehensive Wastewater Master Plan for the City of Albany. The plan will incorporate both the collection and the treatment systems and will serve as a practical reference to guide future planning and investment in the wastewater system. The plan will identify deficiencies and make recommendations for capital improvements to address regulatory compliance, capacity, aging infrastructure, population growth, resilience, reliability, and efficiency, to full build-out of the current Urban Growth Boundary (UGB). Approximately 8,600 acres are presently sewered within the 13,800-acre UGB. The existing population for the city is approximately 57,800, and the Portland State University Population Research Center (PSU PRC) 2070 population projection is approximately 90,255
