The selected vendor shall complete the following scope of work: A. Preliminary Search Activities • In consultation with the State Board or the appointed selection committee, identify the most important characteristics for the new Commissioner of Education. • Establish specific timelines and target dates for the selection process. • Meet with stakeholder groups identified by the State Board. • Develop selection criteria in consultation with the State Board. B. Advertise Vacancy • In consultation with the State Board or the appointed selection committee, determine appropriate advertising venues. • Develop promotional literature, brochures, and advertisements announcing the vacancy. • Develop and application unique to the Commissioner of Education vacancy that reflects the selection criteria determined by the State Board. C. Recruit Applicants • Actively recruit applicants who meet the State Board’s selection criteria. • Assist the State Board in determining compensation parameters within the limits provided by state law. • Distribute applications to applicants and receive all submitted application materials. • Keep all applicants informed of their status in the selection process. D.
