The West Garfield Park Neighborhood Retail Activation Program, through this RFP, will identify a community and economic development organization to implement this program. The Delegate Agency will be responsible for identifying vacant storefronts in a commercial corridor, negotiating leases with landlords, sourcing local start-up small businesses via a BACP-designed application (see below for details on small business eligibility criteria) for pop-up activations, developing a security plan for the space, and managing preparation and operations for the space. The Delegate Agency will also be responsible for providing technical assistance and support services to participating businesses. One award will be granted through the West Garfield Park Neighborhood Retail Activation Program. This single award will amount up to $1,250,000. It is intended for one selected organization to implement the program's objectives.
