The City of Alamogordo seeks the services from qualified and licensed contractors to provide OnCall Drainage Maintenance for the Alamogordo stormwater drainage infrastructure. This will be a multi-award RFP, and as individual projects are identified, the selected contractor shall provide a job proposal for each project. All accepted job proposals will be issued as task orders. All work shall be in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal rules, regulations, and standards. All drainage maintenance services will be requested on an as-needed basis and can include the following maintenance services: • Remove and dispose of excess dirt/mud, gravel, debris, refuse, weeds, dead vegetation, trees, roots, and green waste from city ditches and culverts. • Mow grass in ditches and swales to maintain drainage flow capacity. • Remove trees and shrubs, trim back limbs that are encroaching on drainage systems and posing flood hazards. • Clean catch basins and storm drain inlets and outlets by removing and disposing of obstructions that can cause blockages of stormwater flow. • Clean and clear storm drain grates from debris and obstructions. • Maintain stormwater basins and detention ponds, including mowing, weed eating, debris and vegetation removal, sediment removal and disposal. • Remove accumulated debris and sediment from culvert pipes and culverts to maintain flow capacity. • Remove and dispose of overgrown vegetation from city ditches, roads, sidewalks, and vacant lots. • Maintain specified medians, center dividers, and roadway shoulders including, weed eating, mowing, and vegetation disposal and removal. • Remove and dispose of trash, debris, dead vegetation, and overgrown vegetation from city channels and canals. • Provide herbicide application and weed abatement services. • Ensure all applicable utility line locates are completed through the appropriate agencies prior to beginning any work within the city drainage structures.
