Mexia State Supported Living Center (MSSLC) is seeking contractors to provide counseling services for residents with intellectual and developmental delays. MSSLC is located at 540 Chapel Drive in Mexia, Texas. The center is a designated forensic facility and is home to approximately 240 residents. Contractor shall be located within 100 miles of the facility to ensure timely response to requests for service. The Contractor shall use CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), as applicable, to address the following: a) Crisis and trauma counseling a) Anger management b) Grief and loss counseling c) Sex offender treatment d) Suicide prevention and care e) Gender issues f) Autism g) ADHD h) Intoxication and withdrawal procedures having mental health co-occurring disorders Contractor shall conduct group therapy needed. Contractor shall address sensory issues with systematic desensitization to uncomfortable stimuli through increased exposure.
