The City of Auburn is seeking to award sewer and water utility services contract to provide services when needed. The intention of this request is to enable the City of Auburn to expedite and complete water and sewer repair work more efficiently. The months covered under this contract are November 7, 2025 through November 6, 2026 and the successful contractor must provide the City of Auburn with our required insurance limits, sexual harassment prevention training & policy, and Dig Safely New York certified excavator training. The possible work sites include all city facilities and street rights of way and their associated infrastructure, including but not limited to underground excavation, backfill, and primary works related to water and sewer mains, laterals, manholes, catch basins, vents, traps, miscellaneous piping, hauling services etc. It is understood that the selected contractor will provide labor and possibly materials and work in compliance with City of Auburn codes and ordinances. In addition, the contractor must possess a City of Auburn Drain Layers License or provide proof of at least 5 years of experience of Municipal Utility and ROW related projects. Any required emergency plumbing work shall require the contractor to hold or subcontract such services to a City of Auburn Master Plumber. The City of Auburn reserves the right to purchase the necessary equipment or materials for any job. The bidder must meet the requirements of section 220 of NYS Labor Law dealing with prevailing wages to be paid. The City of Auburn requires certified copies of payroll to enforce this law.
