The services that the selected legal counsel will be required to provide include, but are not limited to, the following: • Providing legal advice to the Town Board, the Town Supervisor, and all elected and appointed officials of the Town on municipal matters. • Attendance at all Town Board meetings and special meetings each month. Subject to approval of the meeting schedule for 2026, Town Board Meetings are held the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 7:00 p.m. Note that the Town will require that a particular identified attorney attend all or substantially all of the Town Board meetings. • Prepare resolutions and local laws. • Prepare agreements, contracts, RFPs, and other legal documents. • Represent the Town in litigation and administrative proceedings. • Provide legal representation in regard to special districts. • Represent the Town in real property proceedings including, but not limited to, purchase and sale of real property and acquisition and grant of easements. • Assist the Building Inspector in Code Compliance matters. • Assist the Town Clerk in preparation of responses to FOIL requests
