Mecklenburg County, located in the State of North Carolina, is seeking Bids/Proposals from qualified vendors for: Package #1: provide waste and recycling collection service for infrastructure managed by Mecklenburg County and/or Package #2: monthly inspection and maintenance of trash and recycling compactor units used in its solid waste and recycling operations. Award of a Contract will be made to one (1) or more vendors per package on a competitive basis following the process, terms, and conditions as described in this Solicitation. Contract will be for: Package #1: an initial term of five (5) years, with the County having an option to renew for three (3) additional, consecutive one (1) year terms thereafter and in accordance with section 6.10 Annual Cost Adjustments unless earlier terminated pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Contract. Package #2: a term of three (3) years, with option to renew for a minimum of two (2) additional, consecutive one (1) year terms thereafter unless earlier terminated pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Contract. The proposed cost shall remain in effect for the duration of the Contract which includes the initial term and any additional, consecutive one (1) year terms
