PRODUCT NEEDED 1.1 Approximately 150 tons of Liquid Chlorine (Cl2). 1.2 Liquid Chlorine must conform to American National Standards Institute/American Water Works Association Standard for Liquid Chlorine ANSI/AWWA B301, or the most current standard. 1.3 Liquid Chlorine shall be delivered in 2,000-pound cylinders. 1.4 Bids must include container rental and deposit requirements, if any. 1.5 Cylinder valves must open without twisting valve stems. 1.6 Valve covers must have all securing bolts, in operational condition. 1.7 Cylinder hydrostatic test date must be permanently stamped in the metal, visible and current. 1.8 Current tare weight and cylinder serial number must be written on an identification tag securely attached to each ton container. This tag must be replaced each time the container is refilled. The serial number must match the serial number on the shipping ticket. Failure to have properly identified and weighed chlorine ton containers may result in the shipment being rejected and returned to vendor.
