In accordance with Section 1560 of the Berkeley County School District's (BCSD) Procurement Code, the District intends to award a sole source contract to Electro-Mech Scoreboard Company for Electro-Mech scoreboards. BCSD has standardized to Electro-Mech Scoreboards. BCSD has standardized to Electro-Mech scoreboards to ensure compatibility throughout the District and to streamline maintenance costs. These scoreboards contain patented features unique to Electro-Mech and have interchangeable parts, which allows the District's Technology and Maintenance staff to conduct necessary preventative maintenance and to perform repairs in a timely and cost effective manner. For major issues, the company has an in-state service location. Additionally, Electro-Mech is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the patented features associated with this product.
