The goal of the pond cleaning task is to remove any and all soil, vegetation, and trash to allow for the inspection of the 60mil HDPE liner for defects. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, transportation, and services necessary to remove the accumulated mud and materials at the LEP at the RGLF located near Globe, Arizona. Contractor shall use appropriate methods to clean the pond without causing additional damage to the existing liner in the pond. Contractor shall submit with their proposal a detailed plan including their recommended methods, methods used to protect the liner during the work, such as plywood planking or others, and the means the Contractor proposes to use to process/treat and then dispose of the removed materials. County will supply Contractor with suf�icient water from the Land�ill’s water tank to accomplish the task. Use of sharp tools or heavy equipment such as loaders and excavators shall not be allowed as they may cause damage to the liner. All materials and water removed from the pond shall be disposed of in a manner consistent with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Removed solid materials may be disposed in the active land�ill with the approval and at the direction of the County. The pond materials are not considered hazardous waste. However, Contractor is required to prepare and submit a Contractor Health and Safety Plan for review by County before starting work. Following cleaning of the pond an
