OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE: Hill Correctional Center is seeking vendor to provide recycling services to remove cardboard, tin and plastic from the facility on an as needed basis with an initial term of three (3) years. SUPPLIES AND/OR SERVICES REQUIRED: Provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the removal of recyclable product (cardboard, tin and plastic) from Hill Correctional Center. Recyclable product of cardboard with a unit of measure by the pound. Product will be baled to an average 60L X 30H X 60W at an average weight of 1,400 lbs. per bale. Recyclable product of tin with a unit of measure by the pound. Product will be baled to an average 60L X 30H X 46W at a varied weight per bale. Recyclable product of plastic with a unit of measure by the pound. Product will be baled to an average 60L X 30H X 56W at an average weight of 800 lbs. per bale. Vendor shall be contacted by Hill Correctional Center on a as needed basis when pickup is required. Facility will identify type and quantity of recyclable when contacting vendor for disposal. Value of recyclables shall be determined by actual weight multiplied by corresponding unit price. Vendor shall itemize and issue separate checks for each type of recyclable. Awarded vendor shall provide a State of Illinois Shipping Report (IL-426-1261) at the time of pickup indicating date, item description, and quantity received. Copy of the State of Illinois Shipping Report (IL-426-1261) must be provided by vendor when submitting payment to Hill Correctional Center.
