The services the City seeks include: A. Provide 40 - 50 CY open dump trailers, to be placed at the South Portland Water Resource Protection Facility. B. Transport sludge to an approved sludge disposal Facility on an as-needed-basis. The contractor shall be available to pick up dump trailers generally, Monday through Sunday, depending on the Facility’s dewatering schedule. The contractor may be asked to pick up dump trailers in emergency situations on evenings, weekends and holidays. C. Dump trailers shall be maintained at all times with no leaks and/or significant odors. D. An empty dump trailer shall be available to the facility operators to dewater sludge at all times at the Water Resource Protection facility. E. The Contractor shall provide and maintain all necessary equipment, labor, fuel, materials, supervision, and permits to transfer sludge from South Portland to the sludge disposal Facility. Fuel costs shall be included in the transportation cost. F. Contractor shall at all times use only competent and properly trained personnel for all work contracted with the City. G. Contractor shall be responsible for all costs and labor related to the cleanup of any sludge spillage from the dump trailers during loading and unloading operations and transport to an approved sludge disposal facility
