A. This contract’s purpose is to provide non-destructive testing (NDT) services at some or all of KC Water’s Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment Facilities. The NDT techniques will determine the integrity of a material, component, or structure, or quantitatively measure some characteristics of the tested object. B. The Bidder shall furnish all materials, equipment, labor, transportation, equipment, tools, appliances, safety equipment, and all other facilities and incidentals necessary to perform NDT services for the duration of the Contract. The City shall be responsible for providing water, natural gas, and electricity at the site. C. At the end of these tests, no damage to components will occur. D. Acceptable types of non-destructive testing includes (but not limited to): a. Robotic automated visual inspection; b. Infrared thermographic scanning; c. X-ray/radiography; d. Ultrasonic inspection/imaging; e. Magnetic particle inspection; f. Acoustic emission; g. Liquid dye penetrant; h. Holiday testing; i. Vibration testing; j. Eddy current. E. Services should also include: a. Review of site operations; b. Recommendations for NDT; and c. Identify and analyze potential exposures to loss.
