PART 1 – GENERAL 1. SCOPE a. The purpose of this bid is to provide specifications for one fabricated sluice gate and guide rail system for Final Clarifier #4 at the Clifton C. Williams Wastewater Treatment Plant. PART 2 – EQUIPMENT 1. EQUIPMENT a. Equipment shall be a fabricated weir gate by Hydro Gate Corporation or approved equivalent. 2. SLUICE GATE a. Gate dimensions shall be 72” W x 48” H b. Gate shall be fabricated from 316 stainless steel material. c. Gate shall be supplied with all installation appurtenances, fasteners, fittings, and/or materials that are required for the gate to be functional after installation. d. Gate shall be operated with electric actuator. e. Gate shall be drop-in replacement for existing aluminum sluice gate. i. Bidder to coordinate with owner on site visit to verify measurements and details of fabrication. 3. SLUICE GATE FRAME a. Frame shall be fabricated from 316 stainless steel material. b. Frame shall be fabricated as a self-contained frame with polymer bearing bars in guide grooves, UHMW seals, and downward opening slide. c. Frame shall have the capacity to be mounted to existing walls with stainless steel anchor bolts per provided drawing. d. Frame shall be a drop-in replacement for existing aluminum sluice gate frame. PART 3 – INSTALLATION 1. INSTALLATION a. MAWSS to supply contractor for installation of sluice gate frame and sluice gate.
