1. Project Overview North Carolina A&T State University requires a qualified mechanical contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and services necessary to: • Replace the heat recovery coils in Air Handler Units 1 and 2. • Replace the chilled water coil in Air Handler Unit 2. • Furnish and install a glycol makeup pump system for the closed-loop hydronic system. The work will improve reliability, increase system efficiency, and ensure freeze protection for HVAC operations at Hines Hall. 2. Scope of Work A. Heat Recovery Coils (AHU-1 and AHU-2) • Disconnect, remove, and properly dispose of existing heat recovery coils. • Furnish and install new coils equal to or better than existing in performance, dimensions, and capacity. • Reconnect all piping, valves, insulation, and supports. • Pressure test, flush, and balance coil circuits. • Ensure proper integration with the existing HVAC system. B. Chilled Water Coil (AHU-2) • Remove existing chilled water coil in AHU-2. • Furnish and install new coil meeting or exceeding original design capacity. • Verify proper fit into existing air handler casing. • Reconnect chilled water piping, valves, and insulation. • Perform leak testing, flow verification, and thermal performance testing...
