The Winfield Correctional Facility is accepting competitive bids for generator maintenance and service for generators located at both the Winfield Correctional Facility in Winfield, Kansas and the Wichita Work Release Facility in Wichita, Kansas. The frequency of the maintenance shall include one semi-annual inspection and one annual inspection. The contractor shall furnish all supplies, parts, material and labor including oil and filters to complete the required preventive maintenance. Contractor shall notify the Maintenance Supervisor before any maintenance is performed and MUST provide a written report for each diesel generator’s conditions upon completion of scheduled inspections. Equipment is located at the Winfield Correctional Facility at 1806 Pinecrest Circle, Winfield, KS 67156 and the Wichita Work Release Facility at 401 S Emporia, Wichita KS 67202. Emergency response: 8-hour response time is needed upon facilities request of equipment failure Contract hourly service rate will be used. Extras beyond this contract must be priced and approved by the Agency before work is performed. Bidders shall provide a break-out showing their pricing for semi-annual services, and separate pricing for annual - services. Bidders shall provide hourly pricing for service work and also for overtime, weekends, and holiday time. Bidders shall provide their markup on materials needed beyond this contract. Electrical System a. Battery Electrolyte b. Battery cap vents 4. Generator a. Inspect Generator b. Blow out air and dirt with air compressed air 5. Engine Safety Controls a. Check operating alarms 6. Switchgear a. Operate circuit breaker manually b. Bus bars, bracing & feeder connections 7. Cooling System a. Clean exterior of radiators b. Check anti-freeze solution c. Check water pumps & circulating pumps d. Examine duct work e. Clean/check motor operated louvers
