The Contractor will manufacture the sections of wrap and utilize these to repair the exterior on buses selected by DDOT. At this time, the quantity of the bus fleet with wraps are: 10 buses which are 60ft articulated, and 101 buses which are 40ft in length, all of which are diesel powered. There are also 4 electric buses with a similar bus wrap design. The repairs, when requested by DDOT, shall be quoted by the Contractor and submitted to the City for acceptance. Upon acceptance by the City, the repairs shall be completed within a 2-day maximum timeframe. • The wraps are located on the front, back, and both sides of the bus. • Each bus wrap repair shall include all components needed for repair, including bus wrap decals, adhesives, tools, labor, and any other items needed to ensure proper repair. The Work requires the Contractor to align and pattern-match new wrap installation to the existing wrap segments. • Exact and precise measurements for the bus decals are required. To obtain DDOT bus dimensions, or any measurements required to wrap the bus, the Contractor shall contact DDOT to schedule an appointment. • Each bus wrap repair shall be quoted for cost and time of delivery. All job info needed shall be included in the quote (i.e.: bus number, repair area, repair size, lead time, bus home garage, etc.). • The wrap design does not cover the windows. • The wrap repairs shall withstand everyday services, including, but not limited to, daily Docusign Envelope ID: 0DE8E52D-405B-49D7-80B4-AE4BF4A8C226 Specifications automatic vehicle washings and strong detergents, and be suitable for Michigan outdoor weather. • Each vehicle must have its bus number on separate adhesive elements, placed on the bus, or over the wrap, and be clearly seen. • The front side of each decal includes all content. The back side will adhere to the bus panels; Bus panels are standard panels with standard finish manufactured through New Flyer, Gillig or Proterra. • The bus wrap material is high gloss and possesses a reflective matte inherent to the decal. • Bus Wrap Decals should be made of heavy-duty vinyl material and constructed to last a lifespan of at least 2 years. The parts and service shall be warranted for at least two (2) years. Decals will face constant and direct exposure to all forms of weather. For the duration of the bus wrap decal, on the front side, content should remain crisp, visible and resistant to fading, clouding or disintegrating; On the back side, adhesive should keep the decal firmly affixed to the bus panel, resistant to weakening, buckling, bubbling, slipping or peeling due to weather factors. • Removing a decal should only be possible by direct, intentional effort of an individual within reach of the bus. Residues from a removed decal should not impede the placement of a new decal. • As delivered, decals should include an easily removable backing, such that the adhesive side will not “stick” until the moment of application on the bus panel. All quotations shall identify the specific materials, inks, coatings, adhesives and backing styles proposed to meet these requirements.
