It is the intent of the City of Fairbanks to issue a five-year contract commenced on January 1, 2026, to an agency for collection services as specified in this proposal. The City desires an all-inclusive rate for performing collection services for ambulance billing 180 days after the original due date. This information will be provided by the City or our ambulance billing contractor. The City may also use the collection agency for collections of other delinquent accounts. The City seeks the following: • A collection agency that provides an interactive website that allows the City and the ambulance billing contractor to upload debtor information via Excel, csv, or other generally used file format. • A collection agency that will make all efforts to collect funds owed to the City while being respectful to debtors and following all rules of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). • A collection agency that will maintain accurate and complete records of collections and provide this information to the City monthly.
