The design and construction of a 12-foot wide lighted shared-use path connecting Haynes Bridge Road to Encore Parkway, approximately 1.2 miles. More specifically, this segment connects the Big Creek Greenway (via Encore Parkway) to the Alpha Loop at Haynes Bridge Road. Not only will this project serve as a connection between the Greenway and the Alpha Loop, but it provides connections to adjacent developments. The proposed shared-use path will provide a safe, accessible walking and biking connection between Haynes Bridge Road and Encore Parkway. The corridor traverses a wooded area, requiring sensitivity to the environment during both design and construction. The completed path will include lighting, landscaping, and amenities such as benches, garbage receptacles, and public artwork where appropriate.
