Base RIDS/Displays Requirements The display unit shall be able to dynamically display arrival and departure information in real time based on flight information from the AODB. This information includes but is not limited to: Arrival vs Departure Aircraft equipment details Scheduled and estimated times Countdown time in minutes for the scheduled/estimated time of arrival or departure Flight number Airline codes Airport code – Destination and Arriving Preset messages for lightning, active shooter, weather events, or any other potential irregular operation message Ad hoc free text The display unit shall be able to display all necessary characters and symbols on a single easy-to-understand display to give parallax free and clearly visible information to ramp crew and pilots during daytime and nighttime and during all visibility conditions. The information displayed shall be readable in direct sunlight. The display unit shall have the ability to automatically adjust the light intensity according to the surrounding light conditions.
