Frederick County, Maryland (hereinafter called the “County”) is seeking bids from qualified contractors (hereinafter called the "Contractor”) for the provision of all engineering, labor, equipment and materials necessary to install one (1) thirty thousand (30,000) gallon underground water storage cistern (tank) for fire protection, complete with all design, hookups, pump, freight, crane service, electrical, explosion proof conduit, and any and all ancillary equipment using the most modern equipment and technologies in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications of the solicitation. The cistern shall be installed at the Wolfsville Ruritan Club located at 12708 Brandenburg Hollow Road, Myersville, Maryland 21773. The furnishing and installation of an underground water cistern for fire protection in accordance with the specifications listed below is part of a program designed to improve the level of protection from fires in residential and commercial properties in Frederick County.
