PROJECT SCOPE Under this specification a single manufacturer shall supply all cold water meters, registers and radio modules (endpoints). The radio modules for the meter reading system must be compatible and able to communicate with the City’s existing metering software. In addition, the radio modules must be able to be read with the City’s existing reading equipment. SECTION I: SPECIFICATIONS FOR 5/8”, 3/4X3/4” AND 1” COLD WATER METERS, POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT TYPE Scope: This specification covers Cold Water Ultrasonic Meters in sizes 5/8 x 1/2, 5/8 x 3/4, 3/4 and 1 inch, and the materials and workmanship employed in their fabrication. The meter must utilize ultrasonic transit time measurement technology and have no moving parts within the meter to wear or replace. Ultrasonic meters shall meet or exceed the most recent revisions of AWWA C715 Standards. The lead-free bronze alloy ultrasonic meters shall comply with the lead-free provisions of the Safe Drinking Water Act and NSF/ANSI Standards 61 and 372.
