4. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Contractor must provide all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete any irrigation repairs, including but not limited to: • Mainlines and lateral lines • Broken wires • Valve boxes • Electric valves • Flow sensors • Drip tubes • Spray and rotor heads • Backflow preventers • Rainbird irrigation controller system (NTTA provides controller parts) 4.1 Irrigation Parts and Supplies: • Supply all parts as Rainbird products unless specified otherwise. • Use Schedule 40 PVC pipe unless specified otherwise. 4.2 Irrigation Control Wire: • Install 10 AWG solid stranded wire for runs over 1,000 linear feet. • Install 10 AWG solid stranded wire for common ground wires. 4.3 Irrigation Bore and Sleeve Specifications: • Use Schedule 80 PVC conduit. • Solvent weld all joints. • Terminate sleeve ends into a 12” PVB valve box. • Bore at a minimum depth of 48” from the paving surface. • Refer to NTTA’s Irrigation Sleeve Details sheet for additional information.
