The City of Derby, through the City Planning & Zoning Commission, is inviting proposals from qualified Planning Consultants to update the 2016 Derby Plan of Conservation & Development (POCD) in accordance with Connecticut General Statutes (CGS) 8-23. The intent of this RFP isto attract a proposal by a qualified Planning Consultant/Firm that will use its experience, scope, and talent to achieve a viable 10-year Plan of Conservation & Development. Through a collaborative community planning effort, we seek to advance a clearly articulated, coordinated, and actionable POCD that helps Derby to preserve the many attributes that currently make it an attractive destination while embracing new approaches and opportunities that will ensure a robust, diverse and inclusive economic base on which to build and grow in the future.
