• Rock slope design (or assessment) where mapping or other data collection is performed using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and/or rope access techniques. • Specialized subsurface investigations such as overwater drilling utilizing a barge, or difficult access techniques like helicopter drill rig placement. • Seismic design such as site specific ground response analysis or peer review of such work. • Specific subsurface ground improvement techniques (i.e. compaction grouting, deep soil mixing, stone columns, etc.) • Complex slope failure assessment or design for mitigation. • Specialized geotechnical and pavement laboratory testing. • Preliminary mix designs for recycled base course and pavements alternatives. • Geophysical (Non-destructive) investigation and analyses. • Flexible and rigid pavement design including life cycle cost analyses • Instrumentation design and installation with remote data collection capabilities • Developing and managing Geotechnical Asset management plans, including the incorporation of asset management techniques into design recommendations. • Construction support for geotechnical design features including but not limited too Creation of training materials and inspection guidelines o Remote or in-person inspection training o Assistance in development of inspection forms and tracking processes o Creation of post construction summary and “lessons learned” report • Review of design work performed by MDT internal staff or other Consultant firms • Other Specialty Geotechnical design or experience especially related to new technologies available.
