1) The contractor must provide ADFS with at least five (5) board-certified Forensic Pathologists, each holding a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and an active Alabama medical license, to perform onsite forensic post-mortem examinations. 2) The contractor must provide board-certified Neuropathologists, Certified Pathology Assistants, Certified Medicolegal Death Investigators, and trained Autopsy Technicians, all with experience performing forensic post-mortem examinations in criminal investigations. Casework Requirements The contractor will: 3) Assist ADFS in placing board-certified Forensic Pathologists and other pathology staff onsite at one of ADFS’s Medical Morgue facilities to support ADFS Medical Examiners in conducting post-mortem examinations on decedents. 4) Provide ADFS with a written report on all cases assigned by an ADFS Medical Examiner, including a description of the post-mortem examination and the resulting conclusions. Billing Requirements 5) ADFS has exclusive authority over case assignments, and approval must be obtained from the ADFS Director or the Director’s designee before the contractor performs any post-mortem examination.
