Phase 1 Architectural Services will consist of the following: A. Study the routine operations of the City of Elko Animal Shelter, as required to achieve a thorough understanding of the operations and needs, as it relates to the Elko Animal Shelter Project. B. Identify and determine, for each operational element of the department, a set of specific space needs for both current and long-term projected (20 years) operations, as it relates to the Elko Animal Shelter Project. C. Determine the interaction/adjacency priorities of the operational elements, as it relates to the Elko Animal Shelter Project. D. Determine current site needs, including evaluation of multiple sites, including current and long-term growth requirements after initial occupancy, as it relates to the Elko Animal Shelter Project. E. Working with Staff, provide conceptual designs for Elko Animal Shelter Project, based upon the results of departmental facility needs and respective site assessment outcomes. F. Provide estimated construction and furnishing costs for the Elko Animal Shelter Project (not including site procurement, if applicable).
