The Town of Windham is currently inviting bids from qualified individuals or companies, acting singularly or in consortium, for the power sweeping of all Town roads (approx. 114 miles). General: Successful bidder shall be responsible for supplying all fuel, manpower, equipment and equipment maintenance, water loading, traffic control, and safety equipment necessary to complete the following scope of work and fulfill the terms of the contract. Bidders should include a list of equipment to be used and an estimated time frame to complete work. Note: The Town shall provide a truck to haul away the sweepings and debris. This bid will include two rounds of sweeping. One in late April or early May and one in October. The bid must be priced out showing the cost of each round as the Town may choose not to do the second sweeping. Bidders may quote an hourly rate for services, so long as a “not to exceed total” is also provided; or a fixed quote for all town roads may be provided. The Town is seeking a one (1) year contract for the services with the ability to extend the contract for a second and third year should the Town elect to exercise said option(s). The Town also reserves the right to extend the contract past year three (3) pending a negotiated cost with the vendor. All vendors need to be specific in identifying the cost for each year for the first three (3) years on the bid forms. Power Sweeping: All Town maintained roads (approximately 114 miles) to the edge of pavement, as well as other required areas as necessary, (e.g. 11 municipal parking lots, etc.). Bidders are encouraged to visually inspect our roads prior to bidding, as these requirements can be time consuming on roads without curbing.
