The Town of Wake Forest (as referred to as “the Town” or “Wake Forest”) is soliciting Statement of Qualifications from firm(s) or organization(s) qualified to provide professional services in its effort to prepare a Town of Wake Forest Downtown Traffic Study. The project will result in a study focused on the Downtown Area in Wake Forest that carefully analyzes challenges associated with traffic volumes, roadway capacity, maintaining historic character, key intersection functionality, and upcoming changes resulting from the S-Line rail corridor project, including the addition of a Downtown Mobility Hub, road closures, and planned grade separations. The Study shall present an overview of existing and forecasted conditions, conduct and summarize robust public engagement, outline key challenges, and present a set of recommendations aimed at mitigating these challenges. The Town seeks to identify qualified consultants who have robust knowledge in engineering, transportation, developing implementable plans/studies, historic preservation, experience with public meetings and outreach, quality graphic design abilities, conceptual rendering capabilities, and project and time management.
