The general scope of work includes; • Pre-construction Video • Temporary erosion and sediment control. • Installation of 4 wet mine seals. • Dewatering and treatment of mine water prior to discharge. • Temporary access road construction. • Installation of 6 inches of crushed stone over fabric on temporary access roads to become permanent. • Vegetated “vee” channel road ditches. • Construction of permanent riprap lined “vee” drainage channels, riprap splash pads, and a riprap road channel crossing. • Excavation of coal refuse and mine spoil. • Placement of refuse, mine spoil, and random fill for highwall reclamation. • Separation of soil suitable for use as soil cover from project excavation and borrow excavation to obtain soil cover. • Placement of soil cover. • Place Rolled Erosion Control Product (RECP) for slopes steeper than 2:1, and on all disturbed areas as directed by the WVDEP and/or Engineer. • Re-vegetation of disturbed areas.
