The Flashing LED Back-Lit Signs shall meet the following standards and vendor shall provide supporting documentation of all items below: All signs shall conform to 2023 Federal Highway Administration’s MUTCD section 2A.21 on retroreflectivity and illumination. All signs shall conform to 2023 Federal Highway Administration’s MUTCD table 2A.3 illumination of sign elements. The Flashing LED Back-Lit Sign shall be MUTCD approved. Each sign blank material shall be a minimum of .080” thick aluminum. Each sign face shall consist of 3M™ Diamond Grade™ DG3 4090T translucent reflective white sheeting. Sign sheeting shall be applied to the sign blank with a 3M™ 1160 Premium Protective Overlay film to provide an additional layer of graffiti protection. The eight perimeter LEDs (when applicable) shall be high-powered LED’s visible at more than 1,000 feet during the daytime and more than 1 mile at nighttime. Perimeter LEDs shall be capable of 100,000-hour life expectancy. The perimeter LEDs shall be embedded individually into 1" diameter holes around the perimeter of the sign and shall be ultrasonically welded to the sign assembly to provide maximum strength and rigidity.
