Provide professional consulting services for the Wake Forest University-Long Branch Trail Connector Feasibility Study, with the goal of connecting the future Long Branch Trail terminus at 25th St to the Wake Forest University Sports Complex for the movement of pedestrians, bicyclists, and other active mobility users. This proposal is for services to provide conceptual design and route options for a multi-use path corridor. Work will include: • Recommending route alternatives and identifying trade-offs between cost, safety, user comfort/facility quality. • Identifying regulatory requirements/restrictions for proposed alternatives. • Recommending additional trail features needed to ensure functionality. • Develop two route options for the trail, confirming that the proposed trail maximum running slopes and cross slopes can meet trail technical requirements for accessibility. • Develop a conceptual design of the character and width of the trail, and intersection treatments.
