Work to be Done: The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor necessary for the completion of the work as set forth in the Proposal, as shown in the contract drawings, and any property restoration, and erosion control per the more stringent between the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and the City of Aiken Standard Specification or Supplemental Technical Specifications listed herein. Work shall include: Engineering Building Parking Lot Rehab: The City of Aiken proposes to reconstruct an existing off-street parking lot (approximately 6,250 square feet, ~15 spaces) by removing the existing asphalt pavement, correcting subgrade irregularities, and constructing a full-depth hot-mix asphalt section within the existing footprint. The work will provide durable parking and circulation for passenger vehicles and improve safety and accessibility through new pavement markings and ADA-compliant features. The project includes incidental erosion and tree protection, minor grading and tie-ins, and site restoration within the project limits.
