While the full scope of activities performed will be informed by the vendor’s project plan (subject to any changes agreed to by OWD and the vendor during the lifetime of the contract), they will at a minimum include: ● Events and workshops: Organizing 4-6 events, workshops, and seminars per year (12-18 total) that focus on coastal and climate resilience careers that can provide opportunities for individuals to learn more about relevant occupations, meet professionals, and get hands-on experience with relevant tools and technologies. The vendor will partner closely with Alliance-affiliated employers and training providers to showcase training and career opportunities and provide hands-on experiences. Examples include career exploration sessions, employer job talks, employer facility tours, career fairs, small group career navigation services, and alumni panel discussions. ● Partnerships with community-based organizations: Partnering with at least 5 community-based organizations to deliver targeted career exploration and outreach programming on the coastal and climate resilience training and career opportunities available through the Alliance. ● Career exploration tools: Work with the Climate Expert to develop 10 to 15 career pathway maps for individuals interested in exploring careers in coastal and climate resiliency, such as wastewater operators, urban forest and conservation technicians, stormwater technicians, sustainable building operations and more. Interactive career maps will outline the entry points, required skills or credentials, advancement opportunities, and other materials developed in close collaboration with training providers and employers to ensure accuracy and relevance.
