The objective of this solicitation is to establish a Contract with one (1) qualified firm to provide equipment, replacement parts, accessories, and hardware for vertical turbine parts (hereinafter referred to Vertical Turbine Pump Maintenance and Repairs) per terms and conditions herein. 1. SERVICE REQUIREMENTS The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, transportation, parking fees, tools-of-the-trade including specialized diagnostic testing equipment, consumable supplies (including, by way of illustration and not limitation, lubrication, solder, caulking, tape, wire nuts, fasteners, gases, and other consumable items) and materials as required to provide comprehensive maintenance and repairs on all Vertical Turbine Pumps owned by the Water Pollution Control Bureau. The cost of consumables is considered administrative expenses and should be included as part of the hourly rates. The Contractor shall provide maintenance, repairs, replacement of parts, inspection, testing, installation, and transportation services for Vertical Turbine Pumps in accordance with Attachment A - Pricing sheet. The Contractor must have the equipment and qualifications to perform repairs or work for Vertical Turbine Pumps. No work is authorized unless specifically approved in advance by the County Project officer or designee and unless a valid County Purchase Order is issued. Once work is authorized, the Contractor shall proceed to perform the maintenance and repair, and authorization has been given. 2. REPLACEMENT PARTS, ACCESSORIES, AND HARDWARE The County expects all equipment, parts, accessories, and hardware under this contract to be in accordance with, equivalent or exceed Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications, warranties, and recommendations. All parts shall be new, OEM or an equivalent brand approved in writing by the County. Purchases will be based on a discount from the Manufacturer’s price list and shall be the latest model. Purchases include replacement parts, accessories, and hardware for Vertical Turbine Pumps. Purchases for items not listed in the Pricing Sheet will be based on the Non-Contract Items Percentage Discount rate from the Manufacturer’s price list and shall be the latest model. Purchases include replacement parts, accessories, and hardware for Vertical Turbine Pumps. 3. MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS The Contractor shall provide maintenance and repairs to the Vertical Turbine Pumps on a Time and Materials basis, which will be calculated by the Hourly Rates specified on the Pricing Sheet. The Contractor shall perform the following tasks at the time and date agreed to by the County Project Officer and the Contractor: a) Remove pump and motor including electrical disconnection, pipe disconnection, grout removal when removing the pump, rigging and crane services for loading at Arlington Plant, transportation from Arlington to contractor location. b) Disassemble and inspect pump for necessary work and quote necessary repairs. c) Perform repairs after quote is approved by the Project Officer.
