Bowman and Trustees buildings were originally constructed in the late 1960’s. No records exist of the original gas line installation, however some minimal drawings are available. Last year LCC utilized the Office of the State Architect to secure funds for emergency repairs. Those repairs included replacing approximately 40 linier feet of 4” gas line and fittings. The quality of the old pipe was noted to be corroded with multiple pin holes throughout the pipe. It was recommended at that time to replace the entire gas line under Control Maintenance funding. Due to significant infrastructure challenges, LCC would like to pursue the possibility of a directional bore installation. Infrastructure in this area consists of fiber optic lines, sewer lines, electrical lines, and water lines including a 14” City water main.
