The City of Alamogordo requires full-time professional analytical laboratory and testing services of the various components of its water and wastewater operations. Services shall include, as a minimum, the examination of drinking water for total coliforms and E. Coli by presence/absence and enumeration methods. In addition, microbiological laboratory services shall be provided to include bacterial and fungal identification and enumerations and inorganic and organic analysis of wastewater and discharge effluents. Tests shall include, but not limited to, ammonia, BOD, chloride, nitrate, nitrite, phosphorous, total kjeldahl nitrogen, total dissolved solids, total suspended solids, and other tests upon request as required by NMED Groundwater Bureau for the City’s discharge permit no. 906.
