Part 1 - TIFTONIA #3 PUMP STATION IMPROVEMENTS consists of the following major work elements: Demolition of existing prefabricated pump station, control panel, control panel canopy, and associated appurtenances; replacement/expansion of existing fence and gates; furnishing and erecting new Redi-Rock retaining walls; replacement/expansion of existing graveled surfaces; installation of new cast-in-place concrete wetwell and valve vault (including access hatches and fall protection safety grating) adjacent to existing pump station; furnishing and installing three (3) new submersible sewage pumps, ductile iron piping and fittings, and appurtenances in new wetwell; furnishing and installing new ductile iron piping and fittings, valves, and appurtenances in new valve vault; furnishing and installing a new 5-foot by 6-foot flow meter vault; furnishing and installing new 18-inch-diameter force main piping (60+/- L.F.), new 14-inch-diameter force main piping (20+/- L.F.), fittings, valves, and appurtenances from new valve vault to tie-in point into existing force main; placement of a new cast-in-place reinforced concrete vehicle approach pad adjacent to the new pump station wetwell/valve vault; furnishing and installing new control panel, control panel canopy, VFDs panel, automatic transfer switch enclosure, telemetry panel, and appurtenances; furnishing and installing new 30-inch-diameter ductile iron gravity sewer line (76+/- L.F.) between existing 18-inch-diameter ductile iron gravity sewer line to the existing wetwell and the new wetwell (including two new 5-foot-diameter manholes); furnishing and installing a new diesel-operated backup generator, concrete mounting pad, and appurtenances; furnishing and installing a new 3/4-inch-diameter water service line (145+/- L.F.) from the existing water main to a new backflow preventer housed in a hot box; furnishing and installing a new water meter for the new water service line; placement of a new cast-in-place concrete wash down pad; backfilling, grading, and graveling a new site access drive (40+/- L.F.); furnishing and installing a new temporary bypass pump connection assembly; temporary bypass pumping; and miscellaneous electrical work. Part 2 - WINTERVIEW PUMP STATION IMPROVEMENTS consists of the following major work elements: Removal of the existing submersible grinder sewage pump from the existing 4-footdiameter wetwell; removal of the steel frame and fiberglass hinged hood over the existing wetwell; removal of the ductile iron pipes and fittings, hose and appurtenances from the existing wetwell; dismantling of the existing pump controls/rack and relocation of telemetry panel; removal of select trees adjacent to new pump station site; furnishing and erecting new Redi-Rock retaining wall around the perimeter of the new pump station site; furnishing and installing a new 6-foot-diameter precast concrete wetwell (including access hatches and fall protection safety grating) adjacent to existing pump station; furnishing and installing two (2) new submersible grinder sewage pumps, guide rails, ductile iron piping and fittings, and associated appurtenances in the new wetwell; furnishing and installing a new precast concrete valve vault (including ductile iron piping fittings, valves, and associated appurtenances); furnishing and installing new 4-inch-diameter ductile iron force main piping, fittings, and associated appurtenances from the new valve vault to the tie-in point to the existing 4-inch-diameter force main; furnishing and installing new control panel, control panel canopy, and appurtenances; furnishing and installing a new 12-inch-diameter ductile iron gravity sewer line between existing and new wetwells; placement/grading/compacting of fill material within new pump station site; furnishing and installing new fence and access gate around the perimeter of the new pump station site; placement of the new pavement at the new pump station site; replacement of the existing air release valve assembly near the intersection of Winterview Lane and Scenic Highway; replacement of the existing combination air/vacuum valve assembly along Battlefield Walk and Bike Trail; and miscellaneous electrical work.
