Ductwork Cleaning a. Work will consist of using a push-pull extraction system utilizing HEPA filtration collection system (99.97% collection efficiency) and source removal methods as defined in NADCA ACR, including agitation devices and vacuum collection equipment with HEPA filtration. b. Clean the following components as applicable, but not limited to: ✓ Air handling units (AHU) ✓ Supply and return ductwork ✓ VAV boxes and diffusers ✓ Fan housing, blades, and coils ✓ Registers, grilles, and diffusers c. Connect a high-powered negative air pressure machine (vacuum) to the main trunk line of the HVAC system to create a powerful vacuum, pulling all dislodged contaminants out of the ductwork and into a contained filtration unit. d. Use agitation tools, such as high-pressure air whips and rotating brushes, to dislodge dirt, dust, pollen, construction debris, and other contaminants from the interior surfaces of all accessible supply and return duct lines. e. Clean all vent covers and grilles. f. Clean the accessible interior of the air handler unit (AHU), including the blower motor, housing, and evaporator coil (if accessible and not sealed). g. Disinfecting agent to prevent odors from animals and other household contaminates, such as bacterial and fungal Growth. h. Application of antimicrobial fog treatment of each unit i. Only Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) registered antimicrobial agents may be used.
