SCOPE The intent of this guideline is to aid in the design, testing, quality control, measurement and payment procedures for the application of polymer-modified emulsified asphalt slurry seal. DESCRIPTION Polymer-modified emulsified asphalt slurry seal shall consist of a mixture of a polymer-modified emulsified asphalt, mineral aggregate, water, and additives, proportioned, mixed and uniformly spread over a properly prepared surface as directed by the Buyer's Authorized Representative (B.A.R.). The polymer-modified emulsified asphalt slurry seal shall be applied in a single layer as a homogeneous mat, adhere firmly to the prepared surface, and have a skid-resistant texture throughout its service life. This is not a product to be utilized for reprofiling, leveling, or rut filling applications.
