1. General: a. Work performed under this contract will allow the expansion of the existing data center compute capabilities. The work will allow the installation and additional row of data racks. Those racks will allow the addition of Artificial Intelligence (AI) computing capabilities. 2. General Construction: a. The work related to general construction will support the work being performed by other trades. This work will include but not be limited to the installation of steel floor plates, fire stopping, cutting and patching. 3. Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) a. The HVAC work will generally be to extend the cooling infrastructure to provide cooling to the AI data racks. That work will include but not be limited to the installation of a chilled water supply and return header, multiple rack cooling taps off the header, extension of the existing drain pan system under the new piping, and connection of the drain pan leak detection system to the Building Management System (BMS). 4. Fire Protection a. The Fire Protection work will generally be to relocate clean agent dispersion heads to coordinate with the new overhead distribution. That work will include but not be limited to the de-energization of the existing system, isolation of the clean agent charge, relocation of dispersion head(s), fire watch during the system downtime, recharging the systems, and post construction system testing. 5. Electrical a. The Electrical work will generally be to extend the existing system to support the installation of the AI computing equipment. That work will include but is not limited to the installation of electrical bus ducts, power wiring and conduit from the existing electrical switch gear, tap boxes and whips to the data racks, data cable from the bus duct to the BMS, grounding of the system, data racks and floor plates, cable tray for structured cable, and leak detection cable in the drip pans.
