The broad scope of the work to be performed includes sod and soil removal, infield excavation, irrigation modifications, regrading, sod installation, field material improvements, and final field setup. The total renovation area is approximately 20,000 to 25,000 square feet, covering the entire infield and the perimeter transition zones approximately 16’ into the outfield. The detailed scope of work is below. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Field Layout and Preparation All field surveying and layout. Measure and mark: o All borders of the infield o Field geometry: arcs, base paths, base anchors, and foul lines Mark and protect all irrigation heads, lateral lines, and control boxes before work begins. 1A. Irrigation Remove and cap all existing irrigation rotors. Store for reinstallation or upgrade. 2. Sod and Vegetation Removal Strip and remove all sod and vegetation from the entire infield (~20,000 +/- sq ft), including 16’ along foul lines and the perimeter of the infield skin. Sod to be cut at 1 1/4" depth to remove thatch and root layer. NOTE: Approximately 100 cubic yards of sod waste is to be removed by the Town of Wayland. 3. Excavation and Subgrade Preparation Excavate infield areas and redistribute existing soil to reach goal subgrades as needed. Establish final subgrade elevations using surveyed center points and existing perimeter benchmarks. Reshoot and adjust infield elevations as necessary to match surrounding turf grades. Apply 2–4 inches of native loam as required. Add approximately 72 +/- cubic yards of 50/50 sand/soil mix to build a homogenous rootzone profile...
