The South Carolina Department of Commerce (SCDOC) intends to award a sole source contract to Equitas Technologies, LLC for the statewide launch of VisionSC, an innovative digital twin platform first validated through a pilot project. VisionSC is a one-of-a-kind, purpose-built solution designed specifically to market the state by making site, infrastructure, and community data more accessible to companies and stakeholders. Equitas Technologies retains exclusive ownership of the source code, system architecture, immersive interface, and derivative components. While SCDOC secured rights to the final delivered product through the pilot project, therefore no other vendor can legally or technically expand or maintain the platform. Sole sourcing ensures continuity of service, protection of state investment, and the ability to expand VisionSC statewide with full accountability, security, and ongoing innovation.
