Gilbane Building Company, Construction Manager, for and acting on behalf Glenbard Township High School District 87, is receiving lump sum proposals from Contractors interested in bidding on a learning commons addition and summer 2026 & 2027 renovations for Glen bard East High School. The project features a two-story learning commons addition being constructed on the north side of the existing school and will include a new detached green house. Interior renovation scope for the summers of 2026 & 2027 will include curtain wall replacement, class room upgrades, gymnasium upgrades, coiling door and the recon figuration of spaces at the learning commons tie-in. Sitework includes phased work through out the campus occur ring both in summers 2026 and 2027 reworking site utilities, parking, drive lanes, and land scaping. The project is due to start late March 2026 with the demolition of the green house followed by the groundbreaking in May for the commons addition. Completion for all 2026 renovations is scheduled for August 2026 with the commons and 2027 renovations slated for an August 2027 turnover.
