The Anhydrous Ammonia furnished under this contract shall be known as refrigeration grade with a purity of 99.99% and shall be free of any materials that would have any adverse physical or chemical effect on feeding or handling equipment or in the water to which it is applied. SECTION 6. The Anhydrous Ammonia shall be delivered in bulk tank trucks which are provided with necessary pumps, hose, and fittings for transfer to the District storage facilities. SECTION 7. Each shipment shall be approximately 3500 to 4000 lbs., but the District may request larger or smaller shipment if conditions so require. SECTION 8. The quantity of Anhydrous Ammonia to be paid shall be the quantity delivered, based upon freight bill weights determined by the carrier. SECTION 9. The supplier shall have successfully furnished Anhydrous Ammonia in quantities needed by the District for a minimum of 4 years. SECTION 10. All chemicals, materials, or substances furnished shall conform with American National Standards Institute/National Sanitation Foundation Standard 60 or 61 for Water Treatment. Documentation shall be submitted with Bid Proposal.
