Alteration services may include repairs due to size changes, normal wear and/or need for new insignia due to promotions. Alteration services may also include miscellaneous repairs as requested. These alterations services must adhere to a high standard of quality to maintain the appearance of the RI State Police uniform. Insignia such as patches, chevrons, epaulets, service bars and buttons will be provided by the division’s supply officer as they are specific to the uniform and may not be substituted. Miscellaneous repairs may include but are not limited to repairs, tears, and rips in clothing material, loose stitching, zipper replacement on pants and jackets, other general tailoring needs and special alterations to uniforms as requested.
