The general Purpose of this solicitation will be to repair the damaged asphalt to new condition. Vendor shall work starting after 7:30am, Monday through Friday. Upon award of contract, the successful contractor shall provide dates of work and estimated times to Mr. Warren Strine or designee prior to mobilizing. The duties of Contractor include, but are not limited to, the following: Site visit to areas for evaluation of all items that will impact the work to be completed. Area to be milled/paved has been marked to show the boundaries of the patch. See overhead mapping of area to see general area and proposed outline of damaged area to be completed. Contact Mr. Warren Strine for further information on the repair site. This is a lump sum, all inclusive project to be paid upon completion of work. It is highly recommended prior to bidding for the vendor to consider all aspects of the project, including, but not limited to: Measurements/dimensions - areas to be milled and paved are estimated and therefore should be measured by the contractor prior to bidding (pavement is marked) Crack seal pavement joints of new patch at site. Pitch/slope to existing conditions to provide drainage Environmental and operational factors. Traffic concerns & limited working hours - be cognizant of school bus traffic Parking & staging MDOT/SHA Snow Hill Shop will perform all TCP, Lane Closures, and Maintenance of Traffic and will have a MDOT SHA certified Traffic Manager on-site at all times. Vendor shall be responsible for the security of all their tools, equipment, and materials. Vendor shall Mobilize to the project site; Mill existing Hot Mix Asphalt pavement at a depth of 2” on location at the specified distance; remove and dispose of millings, install MDOT Approved – category code 504546- Superpave asphalt mix 12.5mm for patching up to 3”, PG 64S-22, Level 2. Surface with Tack coat, and crack seal the pavement joints of the patch, at the location. Milled/paved area must have the same finished grade as existing roadway to provide a smooth transition and proper drainage.
